NCSA Mosaic

Anyone remembering this?

Browsing for ages

My fascination for the web dates back to the early 90s of last century. The web has been around since 1991 thanks to the efforts of Tim Berners-Lee. My first browser, NCSA Mosaic, was brought to my attention by a former colleague from the university's computer centre. Up till then I had only seen the marvels of finding files across the world's universities by Gopher. Somewhat later, armed with Netscape 0.90, like Mosaic built by Marc Andreessen, I could travel the world. My first website - ZBS by Bob Bradley - ran as a 16-bits server under Windows 3.1!
