| Use |
Over the years the 'Brug' has served
various purposes. It has been a large facility for exams
and in recent years it was part of a library for
the humanities. With the opening
of the new University library the library function became
redundant and the 'Brug' was redeveloped to become a lounge
room and meeting area for students.

| General information |
The architecture was inspired by the
library from Wiel Arets which it connects
to the Van
Unnikgebouw. The choice of colors reflects the library:
black for walls and heating system, red accents for furniture.
Floor patches are made in bright yellow. Separation walls
are installed in which videoscreens are put up, internet
kiosks are available as well as coffe machines. The lighting
is led-based and designed by Wibeke Pollé and produced by
Philips Lighting.

| The name of the building |
| The 'Brug' (bridge) is part of the Van
Unnikgebouw. The name 'Brug' relates to
the location of the building: it crosses the buslane Heidelberglaan. |
