The 'Bisschoppen' is primarily a student
housing project. It consists of 552 units of which 35% can
be used individually and 65% are rooms with shared facilities.
The southern tower is used for short stay housing. The ground
floor at the Heidelberglaan contains a number of campus facilties:
the front office of SSHU, the office of campus recruitment
and a study information centre for all Uithof students.

| General information |
The 'Bisschoppen'
is part of the kasbah area of
'De Uithof'. It is built in two towers of 60 meters high
and 20 floors each. In between the so-called 'herenhuizen'
(mansions) are situated parallel to the historic 'Bisschopssteeg'.
The rooms in the two towers measure appr. 17.5 m2 and 2-4
rooms are grouped toghether as one unit. They share a kitchenette,
shower, washing facility and toilet.
The units for individual use measure appr. 33 m2 and consists
of a living room, bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom.
In the mansions 10 rooms of 17.5 m2 each share facilities.
They are three storey units equipped with a roof terrace. |

| The 'Bisschoppen' (bishops) is derived
from the adjacent historic path (Bisschopssteeg) that runs
through 'De Uithof'. |
